Family
We're all about families at Church of the Eternal Hills!
We all have times where life feels like a hot mess, especially in and with our families. We know that raising a family is difficult. Our goal is to welcome and support ALL families, no matter how you are comprised. We want to be a place where you can walk with others through the different seasons of your family’s lives and feel supported. So, what do we offer?
Children’s Pray Ground: Where do my children go during worship? Well, we believe that church is like a family reunion and children are welcome in worship. We have a table set up at the front of the sanctuary where your children may come and participate in an activity during our service. Our Intentional Faith Development Director sits up front as does our nursery provider. If you have little ones that are working on being in church, our nursery director will take them out to the carpeted area in the narthex. Feel free to offer your child a worship bag (on hooks outside the sanctuary) and to have them come sit with us! Questions? Email education@eternalhills.org
Acolyte Ministry: Children can serve the church as Acolytes if they are in 2nd Grade and above and may also enjoy participating in the “Mystery Friends Ministry” where they are paired with one of our adult members. For detailed information about the activities offered for each age group, please check our Children and Youth Page.
Monthly Potluck: On the first Sunday of the month, families are invited to join us in fellowship hall to participate in a potluck. This is a great way to get to know more of the congregation!
Family Dinner/Activity Groups: Monthly, we get together as families and have a dinner night. We have gone to High Note Thursday, met at a local outdoor movie night, played board games, dyed Easter Eggs, and participated in a chili cook off. Check our website and Facebook page for upcoming dates.
Fall Festival/Blessing of the Backpacks: Every Fall we offer a special service to bless our students and teachers before the school year. Make sure you keep an eye out for the date and bring your child, their backpack, and an appetite for the festival that we put on following the service!
Trunk or Treat: Looking for a fun trick-or-treating event? We offer a parking lot Trunk or Treat for our young children (elementary-aged and below). The children visit the cars in the parking lot, eat some food at the potluck, and craft away at this event. We hope to see you there!
